Depending on where you live, this can easily be done inside or outside. This is a fun activity that gets kids involved with the planning, setting up, and clean up (you read that right, clean up!).
Ask your kids to be a teacher for a day. Ask them to pick a profession, animal or object they want to learn more about. Set aside time for them to research and put together a lesson plan. Then, sit down as a family and learn together! This will develop their research and presentation skills while giving you some time to get some work done.
Since going to the movies isn’t an option, create your own family movie night. Get out the blankets, popcorn and pajamas and take time to unwind together.
When in doubt, walk it out! Being inside for too long can make anyone go stir crazy. If you or anyone else in your house is feeling antsy, go for a walk.

Don’t worry if you end up on a Netflix series marathon or let them play video games longer than normal. There will be days where you just don’t have the time or the energy to do activities and that’s ok, they will be just fine. Do what you need to do and take it day by day. We are in this together!
